Let's Learn a Lot and Build Our Strength

My current Japanese, English, and coding skills are all insufficient to be competitive in the job market. Before I knew it, I turned 30 in Korean age. I was lucky enough to get into a good company, but that doesn't mean my skills have improved. The only things that have changed for me are a bigger paycheck and a title. The title of working at a top-tier IT company is more than I deserve. To live up to that name, I need to work relentlessly throughout 2024 to become a competitive person. I don't have much time to waste on other things. I don't even have enough time for all the input and output I need to do. Since languages and coding are long-distance marathons, I need to stay consistent without losing interest. Not losing interest is important, and it's equally important to be kind-hearted, build good karma with the people around me, and walk alongside good people.

Right now is a truly great environment for studying. I have money, a job, and free time. There are no more excuses to make, and I need to stop wasting time peeking at stocks hoping for a lucky break. I need to take care of my appearance too. I think this year might be the last chance for rapid growth.

I discovered a YouTuber named ruri-ohama who speaks foreign languages incredibly well. She said the secret to language study is maintaining a 3:7 ratio of input to output. When buying books or courses, it's better to choose ones that provide problems or test environments where you can produce output. If you only do input without output, everything just evaporates. If there's no environment for output, at the very least process the material in your own way and organize it on this blog -- always include the output step.

Whether it's languages or coding, let's push our skills above a certain level and then we can relax. Let's go, Youngju.
