Seungho's One-Man Show
Today I visited Shinhan DS and watched the installation of the LLM and DP. We checked the infrastructure prerequisites and proceeded with the installation.
The undisputed highlight was Seungho's Tmux and shell scripting skills.
What impressed me most was that he could do all coding without a mouse -- just a keyboard. I felt that being able to solve problems under given circumstances, even when conditions are less than ideal, is what a true expert looks like.
I was amazed at how freely and smoothly he used Tmux and K6. This is not the kind of skill you build overnight. It was a time that made me realize how much effort he must have put in, and how the number of command inputs per hour can directly relate to productivity. It was also impressive that he kept Tmux running and worked on two computers simultaneously. It was a moment when I realized how important the various plugins for Tmux and Vim really are.
I admire him and want to follow in his footsteps, but to catch up with Seungho -- who has been doing all his document work in Vim since college -- will clearly take a lot of time and effort. Let me practice Tmux.
Let me never forget that every single line of code I write is critical material that can bring either pain or happiness to someone.
The Hunchback of Deep Expertise
The two people from Megazone Cloud sitting next to us were also impressive. They were two developers with pronounced forward-leaning postures from years of sitting at computers, and I could feel the depth of their expertise was immense. Their serious attitude as they debugged and solved problems through k9s was admirable. No matter if someone comes from a small company, when they sit at a computer and prove themselves with skill, big-company titles become meaningless. People who can actually solve problems, who can collaborate with others and produce results -- those are the truly skilled ones, and they focus on substance rather than appearances. Let me become the kind of person who leaves an unforgettable impression of seriousness from just one encounter. My computer and the way I handle it -- I take it seriously.
Let me make good use of deep expertise, Vim, Tmux, and Linux knowledge.
