TOEIC Exam and Lessons Learned
In the previous TOEIC exam, I underestimated it too much and couldn't focus on the test. Throughout the exam, I was bored and just wanted it to end quickly. But this time was different. Should I say I discovered the fun of language? It was enjoyable to understand the meaning of English through sound and text, and to process it into my own thoughts. I was left with the regret that I could have done better if I had more time.
Approach to Academics and Language Learning
The problem was that I had been thinking too vaguely. A single discipline consists of multiple books, one book consists of multiple chapters, and one chapter consists of multiple paragraphs. Those paragraphs ultimately begin with a single sentence. It's only natural to feel overwhelmed when trying to study multiple disciplines, and you can be overwhelmed by the volume and depth.
But the clear fact is that all the countless books in the world started from a single sentence. And the authors of those books all understand the importance of this fact. For me to be as good at English as a native speaker, I need to start from a simple "Hi," from easy sentences like "Today was nice," and build up step by step. I must not deny that this is an essential process.
The Importance of Humility and Consistency
It's important to engrave this process in my mind and learn humbly from the ground up, one thing at a time. This applies not only to English but also to Japanese, algorithm study, and exercise. As the saying goes, "you can tell everything from one thing" - let's work hard on even the small things and make them our own.
Step by Step, Consistently
Whether it's a Part 1 question or a Part 3 question, someone who has properly solved one question is the one who can eventually solve 2, 3, or 100 questions the right way. Let's remember. Humbly, step by step, let's move forward.

If I were to quit the company, I thought about what I would need to do immediately.
Participating in the AI Semiconductor Competition
Focusing on the AI semiconductor competition I'm currently participating in and aiming for the prize money is the first goal. At the same time, I want to challenge myself to obtain all 12 AWS certifications and earn the Golden Jacket.
- Organizing Computer Science Knowledge: The certification preparation process will be an opportunity to review and organize computer science knowledge.
- Helpful for Employment: Since AWS is a technology that many companies use for infrastructure operations, the certifications are expected to help with job hunting. (I also harbor some hope that if I get the Golden Jacket, I might be able to get a job at AWS Korea.)
- Improving English Skills: One of the most exciting aspects is being able to learn English through this process.
Cloud Utilization Skills
Being able to effectively utilize cloud technology can bring financial benefits to a company, and I believe this is an area that AI cannot easily replace. The first certification to challenge is the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam. I think it will help me get an overview of AWS's various services.
Current Situation
Right now, I've already purchased a CKAD exam voucher, so I want to first obtain the CKAD and then challenge the AWS CCP exam.

Without exception, they all say the journey was very meaningful and the results were worthwhile. Of course, it's not an official qualification, but I think it's worth the investment. And the fact that the licenses are maintained indefinitely also seems very nice. (I don't think a company like Amazon is going to go under anytime soon.)
