Strength

I feel the need for strength. What kind of person can persuade others? Think about what kind of person you can truly trust. Recently, I was deeply impressed watching videos by CoderXDox. He is skilled enough to work at Meta, speaks eloquently, and is subtly persuasive -- to the point that I thought I would like him to be a role model for me in the future.

Language Study

Being good at Korean and foreign languages is in itself a tremendous credential and source of strength. On the way back from church, I watched YouTube videos by someone called "Songwon." He seems to know the way to become good at languages. Learning a language can be thought of as skillfully combining the words you want to say. And you need the eye to judge how those words should be arranged correctly. Let me practice speaking a lot through HelloTalk, and in daily life, try converting the Korean in front of me into English and Japanese.

LINER:VIEW Filming

The feedback I received from my sister while preparing for the filming was the most helpful. When answering questions, I thought a lot about how to give answers that draw attention, and I learned how to answer attractively using a top-down approach. I also learned how to speak in a keyword-focused manner.

Things I Want to Study

Right now I have a pile of things I want to study stacked up. If I just pile them up without taking action, they are useless, and I seem to have a habit of always just stacking things up. Let me focus on the things right in front of me, one by one. For LeetCode, let me start from easy problems step by step, like CoderX. No matter what company you go to, you must be able to solve programming problems, and especially be able to explain them during phone interviews.

Eleven Table Tennis

Playing a lot of Eleven Table Tennis has been extremely effective for losing weight. When I came back from Singapore I was around 85 kg, and now I am at 78 kg -- I managed to lose about 7 kg in one month. I think I could lose another 7 kg over the next month if I keep playing hard, but then I would have almost no time for self-improvement. I feel that playing Eleven Table Tennis has helped me develop a lot of focus. I am also satisfied that I have built the habits of objectively looking at myself, and constantly proving myself through matches against opponents. Additionally, through the people I meet while playing, I have been thinking again about how to build wise relationships and what kind of person is a good person.

Do I Have the Skills?

Objectively judging myself, I cannot say my skills are outstanding. Although I combined the knowledge I had to create HBH, I cannot say I built software with good maintainability using the right development methodologies quickly. For future projects, I should learn from past mistakes and do things right from the start. Including thinking about how to handle deployment.

The Bible

I used to have trouble reading the Bible, but recently it has been reading smoothly. Strangely, reading the Bible puts my mind at ease. I feel infinitely small at the thought that within the 2,000-year history of the Bible, I am just one human being. But when I think that Jesus would have come down even for that one person, I am grateful for that boundless love.

Sanghwan

Sanghwan got accepted to Samsung SDI. He had been coming up to Seoul a lot, but this time I went down to Pyeongtaek. What makes Sanghwan dear to me is that during our military service days, he sacrificed his time to help me study, and he has silently and continuously kept in touch. As they say, cream rises to the top -- I am proud to see him constantly working on self-improvement. I hope he lives well even after moving down to Ulsan.

New Experiences

New experiences seem absolutely necessary. I have come to reflect on how I used to think the world I knew was everything. And let me also practice being bold. I am a third-year junior now, but in five or ten years, who knows what role I will be in. Let me cultivate the habit of studying things properly even if it is just one thing, and focus when writing documents as well.
